General
The Faith Formation team works in partnership with parishioners to strengthen and provide well-rounded, life-long Catholic faith formation for all. The Catholic Church recognizes that the parents have primary responsibility for the religious education of their children. It is within family life that children learn about God, love for others, share prayer, learn about sacrifice and service, and celebrate sacraments together-including the Sunday Eucharist each week.

Elementary and Middle School Faith Formation
The Faith Formation program geared for public and home-schooled children in grades one through eight is held on Wednesday evenings. Classes meet September through the beginning of May from 6:30 to 7:45pm.

Sunday Morning Nursery
The Sunday morning nursery for toddlers, ages 1 to 3 (12-36 months) is available year round during both masses. They will be cared for, play, pray, and begin to know what being in a faith community looks, sounds, and feels like.

Sunday Morning Preschool and Kindergarten
Our age 4 and 5 classes are held during the 8:45 and 10:30am masses. The curriculum offers opportunities where children are led with a hands-on approach to learn about God and the world.

Children's Liturgy of the Word
During Sunday morning masses children, grades K-4, will have the opportunity to hear and reflect on the Word together. Children will be invited, led by their catechist, to the chapel adjacent to the Worship space.

Vacation Bible School
Vacation Bible School is offered in the summer. Children have the opportunity to reconnect and explore their faith for five half days with a fun theme.

First Eucharist: (2nd Grade & older)
First Eucharist is celebrated yearly with active, participating parishioners and their families. There are group preparation sessions and a retreat for families with a second grader (or older) preparing for this sacrament. Families will complete a preparation workbook at home. It culminates in the celebration of First Eucharist.

First Reconciliation: (2nd Grade & older)
First Reconciliation is celebrated yearly with active, participating parishioners and their families. There are group preparation sessions and a retreat for families with a second grader (or older) preparing for this sacrament. Families will complete a preparation workbook at home for this sacrament. The curriculum for this preparation focuses on healing relationships.

Confirmation Preparation Process
Active parishioners in 9th and 10th grade (or older) are encouraged to participate in the preparation. The program, is a 1-year process: Sunday spring sessions for season one and Sunday sessions for season two (approximately 8 each year). Some sessions will also include sponsor/parent attendance. The process includes two mini-retreats, an overnight retreat, a service/volunteer and reflection component of 15 hours, as well individual and large group sessions with your sponsor during the 2nd half of the process. You can expect that the actual celebration of the sacrament of Confirmation will happen sometime in the end of January or beginning of February of the 2nd year.
